Promoting Health and Climate Solutions through Research and Advocacy

Makexafrica Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2020 in Uganda. We promote public-health and climate solutions, directly engaging grassroots communities and policy makers/enforcers through research and advocacy. 

Our Objectives

  • Promote research and advocacy to improve access to climate and health awareness focusing on food security, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation, and sustainable water 
  • Promote research and advocacy to improve hands-on climate-smart entrepreneurial skilling 
  • Promote skills and knowledge transfer through a global internship and volunteer exchange program 
  • Promote research and advocacy linkages between climate and gender-based violence and harmful cultural practices 
  • Promote national policy change/action through direct engagement and dissemination of research evidence targeting policy makers, policy enforcers, academia, and civil society activists
